PATTERN
Preserving the Past – Before computers and advanced technology, it was the patternmaker who created the basis for our molds. In the past, patterns were created using hard woods such as teak and mahogany; some of those forms are still in use. Our patternmakers take two-dimensional drawings and transform them into three-dimensional forms.
The Old-Fashioned Way
At Maddox, we have the experience and expertise to help our customers with refurbishing and restoration projects.
Computer Assisted Design
Using computer-assisted design, we can accurately replicate a worn or broken part.
Wood or Styrofoam?
In the past, patterns were made from hard woods such as teak and mahogany. Today, Maddox uses a more environmentally-sensitive alternative of pine and styrofoam.
Vintage Patterns
We have many designs and patterns – many of them dating back to the early days of the company - that’s more than 104 years ago! And if we don’t have the right pattern – we’ll make one!
Replicating and Creating
Whether by hand or using computer-assisted design, Maddox has the experience and expertise to replicate and create custom products.
